The Foresters Arms is a Grade II listed property, located in the picturesque village of Carlton-in-Coverdale in the North Yorkshire Dales. Nestled under the peaks of Roova Crags and Penhill, Carlton is only six miles from Leyburn and is set within The Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Named after the Foresters Friendly Society, this 250-year-old inn is a welcome rest for the weary traveller. It is convenient for many local attractions in the Dales anmd there are excellent walks in the beautiful countryside around Carlton. We are also on the Yorkshire Dales Cycle Way with several routes that will definitely help keep you fit!

The Foresters is all cosy open fires, oak beams, local cask ales with a quality menu and a varied choice of specials. Indulge yourself from our excellent choice of wines, quality Sunday roast and ensuite accommodation. For overnight guests, a full cooked English breakfast is available, along with lunch and evening menus, with locally sourced produce used where possible.

The pub has been in community ownership since 2011 and attracts visitors and guests from all over the world.

We welcome dogs, we have disabled access and toilet facilities and we also have baby changing facilities and for cyclists, secure bike storage is available.
